I've had a camera since I was 15 years old and I have always enjoyed taking photos. I've only begun to seriously get into photography in the past 2 years. I went on a soul searching trip, hitchhiked to California, and my camera broke after too much sand from nights on the beaches.
I decided to get a bit more serious and instead of taking photos, begin learning about the art of photography. I found an entry level dSLR on sale and bought it up. That Pentax K2000 I bought when I decided to take the leap into photography is still the camera that I shoot with today.
I came back to Detroit after 6 months of travel and spent a lot of time taking photos of the abandoned buildings in the city. After for the millionth time of someone telling me I needed to start selling photography, I started entering local art shows to sell my wares. I still do shows in the area, but like any good businessman, I needed to get an online presence.
My passion for travel taught me about my passion for photography so I've done my best to integrate the 2 on my travel blog, Nomadic Zen.
